Our wine program is comprised of the best The pacific Northwest (OR & WA) has to offer! Our ever evolving wine menu changes so often, it will be hard to keep updating our offerings. What we do promise is that you will find unique, off the beaten path and interesting wines! Our past guests would tell you that more often than not, they leave having discover a new winery and wine that they have not had before!
Our staff is well verse and will provide you with a wealth of information about the Willamette Valley wine scene as well!

Best meal I've had in Oregon and a top meal in our lives. Chef Javier porus love into every dish and every dish is well thought and balanced with intensity and preparation. We were blessed to find the Gem of perfection in Newberg, OR. Romantically blended atmosphere and delightful surprises on the menu at each turn... we nearly ordered everything offered... with highlights from a special team + friendly and wonderfully knowledgeable staff. The local wines featured also taking the lead throughout the pairing advice from Melissa. 5 stars should be visited by serious foodies and anyone who is serious about delicious food. We were here on opening night and the food was impeccably delicious. I highly recommend the pork belly sharing plate and the braised lamb gnocchi was some of the best I have had (bonus the gnocchi was gf and I never would have guessed). Dessert is a must, light and delicious and lots of options. Great experience, servers were lovely, good wine selection! I highly recommend a reservation at Subterra!

We're local, make wine, understand food pretty well, and dine here regularly. It's probably the best, most overlooked restaurant in the valley - perhaps because it's underground. Subterra ranks in our top three wine country restaurants consistently. Don't miss it.

We had an excellent dinner! We had two guests with a list of allergies and we felt very satisfied with our options and the waitress was well versed in what ingredients were in each dish and she was happy to ask any questions on our behalf. Plus everything was delicious!

We had a TERRIFIC dinner on 4/9. Fabulous food, exceptional service. The cheese plate was beautifully presented. Scallops cooked perfectly and, with the grains and mushrooms, made an ideal combination of visual, taste, and texture. Melissa made us feel cared for, but not hovered over, the entire time we were there. I will post a review on Trip Advisor too. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Always a delightful experience! We’re from out of town (SLC), but come to the Oregon Coast at least a couple of times a year. Northern Willamette Valley is a must-stay for a few days. SubTerra has become a much anticipated part of our dining experience while in the Newberg/ McMinnville area. Our Maitre’d and water sommelier Mark, was a delightful start to our recent evening. Scott was most attentive and knowledgeable, with helpful recommendations. Dinner: marrow bones (*****), gnocchi (*****), sablefish (****) were excellent. Scott’s wine choices for each course were spot on. My wife and I look forward to returning many times in the future! Props to all! Gregg& Nannette J

We had a fabulous (pre-Valentine) dinner last night: from prawns appetizer (LUVed the spicy-sweet sauce), perfectly dressed salads, GF gnocchi with beef, and expertly crafted risotto with shaved truffles. Wow. Everything was delicious, well-seasoned, and beautifully plated. Scott and wait staff were welcoming and entertaining! We've driven past many times on our way out to vineyards but this was our first opportunity to have dinner. We'll definitely visit again soon and share our experience with friends.

Last night we enjoyed one of the best dinners out that we’ve had in a very long time at Subterra: from the cocktails, wine, empanadas, short rib gnocchi etc. all were very delicious! Also, we had a great server: he was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun to talk to. Thank you for a great evening out. We will be back!
